Home Service or Hospital OPD: How to Choose

Both have a place. A home nurse is often the better choice when the patient is elderly, bedridden, recovering from surgery, or finds travel painful. It also suits a wound that needs frequent dressing changes, since a daily clinic trip across Delhi quickly becomes exhausting.

A hospital OPD may suit a patient who can travel easily, or who needs tests, scans or a doctor's examination during the same visit. If you need both, use the OPD for doctor reviews and the nurse service for the dressings in between.

Get medical help urgently if you see: fever or chills, redness spreading from the wound, pus or a foul smell, black or dead-looking skin, heavy bleeding, or sudden drowsiness or confusion. Do not wait for the next nurse visit.

Delhi Is Big, and Homes Differ

Delhi stretches from Rohini and Pitampura in the north to Saket and Vasant Kunj in the south, and from Preet Vihar in the east to Dwarka in the west. The distance between where a patient lives and where they are treated can be long. Homes also vary, from apartments in towers with lifts to older buildings with stairs and no lift, where bringing a patient down for a clinic visit is hard work in itself.

When you book, tell us the colony, building, floor and whether there is a lift. This helps the nurse plan the visit and arrive prepared.

What a Nurse Can and Cannot Do

  • Can: assess and clean the wound, apply the dressing, record progress, remove stitches when your doctor agrees, and advise the family.
  • Can: tell you when a wound needs a doctor or a hospital.
  • Cannot: diagnose conditions, prescribe medicines, or replace your doctor's treatment plan.

If you are unsure whether the wound needs a specialist, read when to see a wound care specialist. For support between visits, these habits help the body heal.

Booking and Costs

Call or WhatsApp us with a short description of the wound, where it is on the body, and your area in Delhi. A photo helps. A nurse reviews the details and plans the first visit. We do not quote a fixed rate without knowing the wound, because the number of visits and the supplies needed differ for each patient. Share the details and the team will explain the plan before you commit to it.
