What to Ask Before Booking Any Home Nurse
Not every home nursing arrangement is the same, and it is fair to ask questions before you let someone dress a wound. Useful questions are:
- Is the person a trained nurse, and will the same nurse visit each time?
- Will they bring sterile supplies, or must the family arrange them?
- Will the wound be checked and recorded, or only covered?
- Will they follow my doctor's instructions and flag problems?
- What happens if the wound looks worse between visits?
You are welcome to put these questions to us when you call.
Get medical help urgently if you see: fever or chills, redness spreading from the wound, pus or a foul smell, black or dead-looking skin, heavy bleeding, or sudden drowsiness or confusion. Do not wait for the next dressing visit.
Getting Ready for the Visit
- Pick a clean, well-lit spot where the patient can sit or lie comfortably.
- Keep the medicine list, any reports and the doctor's or hospital's instructions together.
- Wash your hands before the nurse starts, and keep pets and young children out of the room.
- Do not remove an old dressing yourself unless your doctor told you to.
Home Visits Across Ghaziabad's Societies
Much of Ghaziabad's housing is in large societies and apartment towers, in places like Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara and Raj Nagar Extension. Visits go more smoothly when you share the society name, tower and flat number when booking, and let the gate know a nurse is coming. Many families here also travel into Delhi or Noida for treatment, which makes a clinic trip for every dressing change tiring. Home visits cut that out.
Booking and Costs
We do not quote a fixed rate without knowing the wound, because the number of visits and the supplies needed differ for each patient. Share the details and the team will explain the plan before you commit to it. If you are unsure whether the wound needs specialist input, read when to see a wound care specialist.
